My heart lies in the happiness
Where there is no pretence,
In the innocence
Of a lovable child
My heart craves for joy and glee
For the merriment,
For the sentiment
Of a lovelorn child
My heart longs for the attention
For the love and care,
This is always there
For the unwary child
My heart pines for the affection
For the soothing touch,
Which I like too much
From the mother to the child
My heart cries in the solitude
For my near and dear,
Who are still not aware?
Of their long lost child
My heart wanders in the wilderness
Trying hard to locate,
What is stored in the fate?
Of this ill-fated child
My heart laughs heartily at the thought
Of having had to live,
A life of take and give
Of this hapless child
My heart attempts to find the truth
The reality of existence,
This goes beyond the sense
Of this simple earthly child
